Abstract

This study explores the relationship between educational management practices and student mental health in Indonesian high schools and universities. Through qualitative interviews with administrators, educators, and students, the research identifies key factors influencing mental health outcomes, including open communication, mental health awareness, and the availability of supportive resources. The findings reveal that institutions prioritizing these practices foster environments conducive to student well-being, while systemic barriers such as budget constraints and cultural stigma hinder effective support. The study highlights the perspectives of various stakeholders, demonstrating the need for comprehensive policies that integrate mental health education into curricula and provide professional development for educators. By addressing these barriers and standardizing mental health resources across schools, stakeholders can ensure equitable access to support for all students. Ultimately, this research contributes to the discourse on mental health in education, advocating for a holistic approach that balances academic success with emotional well-being, promoting healthier learning environments.
